| DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Tuesday, September 4, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! IN THE NICK OF TIME - Part 2 - Nicole rejoins Jen at the nurse’s station as she pours herself a coffee. Nicole asks about Daniel. Jen explains he had to go somewhere. She was waiting for her and is ready to get her things from the hotel. Nicole looks ready to snap, then smiles an insincere smile, assuring her she is ready to go with her new roomie. They depart together. - At the parole hearing, Hope tells how she is convinced that Nick is better, back to his old self. She admits she is both his cousin and the arresting officer in this case. She can say without any doubt that he is ready for release and poses no threat. She then joins Jessica, Maggie, and Bo out in the hall. Hope is optimistic they have all helped Nick. Dan arrives, having overheard and he is not impressed. Matter of fact, he is downright mad! - Mel wonders what Gabi needs to tell her. Before Gabi has the chance to elaborate, Chad enters and hugs his girl. He demands to know what is going on and gives Gabi a dark, suspicious look. Mel explains that she wanted to speak with Gabi about the letter, as she is the only one who understands what she is experiencing. Chad begs to differ. Mel wants to know whether Gabi feels she should make Nick stay in prison. Gabi replies she deserves to be safe. Chad’s eyes flicker. - Rafe asks Sami why she is at the station. She enlightens him about meeting her lawyer. The lawyer returns and wonders if Rafe will vouch for Sami. Rafe is surprised. Sami stammers they were talking about other matters. The lawyer discreetly leaves and Rafe deduces Sami is hoping he will put in a good word for her. He accuses her of not being sincere about his sister and just looking out for herself, like usual. He storms out, disillusioned. Sami runs after him. - The parole board gives Nick a chance to speak. He admits he was the one who let the drugs get out of control and he takes full responsibility for not getting help. T’was a deep hole he fell into, and he will never go back there. He intends to make it up to everyone, whether he is a free man or behind bars. Outside, Bo pleasantly suggests he and Dan go grab a coffee. Dan decides to wait right there, assuming Melanie is testifying as well. Bo and Hope inform him she is not even present. Dan becomes even more concerned. "If she's not here ..." - EJ comes out of the bedroom and informs Lucas that Ally is getting her backpack ready. Lucas is impatient. EJ advises him not to be petty. Lucas frowns that petty will be when he sues Sami for full custody of Ally - and wins! EJ wonders whether he would take her away from Johnny and Sydney. Lucas admits that is the only reason she is still there. EJ thanks him and then quips it is the only reason he can come sniffing around Samantha! Lucas picks up Ally’s stuffed ballet toy and drawls he certainly needs no excuse to come sniffing around Sami. EJ scoffs sarcastically. “There’s an image!” he mutters. Lucas stares him down and continues. He is officially done with Sami. She is his problem now. EJ does not consider her a problem. Lucas warns he will not last either. Sami only wants the man she cannot have. She will probably tire of him by Thanksgiving and move onto the next male challenge. - Sami catches up with Rafe at the park and insists even if he tossed her in jail, she would still want to help Gabi, He warns her not to ask him to lie to the D.A. and steps away from her. A hoodlum in a hoodie watches with interest when she drops her handbag onto the bench nearby. He creeps out and reaches for it. Sami leaps back for her bag and a struggle ensues. She screams to let go. The hoodlum raises his fist with the free hand. Rafe turns back and barks at the hoodlum to drop it. He does and so Sami and bag fall on top of Rafe. She cries out and gasps, her lips hovering inches from his. - Jennifer helps Nicole with her luggage as they enter the house. Nicole forces a smile and calls the small place homey. Jen thinks it is better than a hotel. Nicole agrees. Jen tells her where the guest room is. Nicole thanks her. She promises not to overstay her welcome. Jen suggests she thank Maggie, who was the one who let her know she needed a place. Nicole replies that was for Daniel, then decides to update the widow Jennifer on the nature of their relationship. Things got intense very fast between them and then the good doctor saved her baby’s life. It was a great beginning for them! Nicole smugly goes upstairs to her room. Jen turns away and looks ready to faint from the realization that Dan has been sneaking around with his illustrious patient. - Bo informs Hope, Maggie, and Jessica that the board is presently deliberating. He must get back to work. They remain optimistic about the outcome. Dan growls he was unable to reach Chad on his phone. Maggie suggests perhaps Mel decided to get as far away as possible from this hearing. - The parole board has come to a unanimous decision concerning the fate of prisoner Nick Fallon. Mel suddenly bursts in, getting past the police guard. The baffled board ask who she is. She announces she is Melanie Jonas and she is here to make a statement! The tension in the air is thick as Nick waits with bated breath ... END |
