He mutters he was hoping to have plans tonight and asks him to wish him luck. He now turns around to talk to Will about the concert but alas he has gone! Sonny is clearly disappointed. - Nick has an unexpected visitor. Tis raging DiMera Chad, who stares him down. Nick does not know him. Chad leers it is time they had a little talk! - Abigail meets Gabi at the coffee house. When Mel enters, she asks her to join them and stops Gabi from leaving. Mel is wondering where Chad is and sits at their table for coffee. The girls have heard that Nick got out. Mel wonders if they heard whether he is back east yet. They now drop a bombshell. Nick is not leaving Salem after all! Abigail informs her he had no choice and the parole board is finding him a job. Mel pretends to be fine with it and excuses herself. Gabi could not help but notice how upset she was. Abigail insists she was only surprised. However, she does worry about what Chad the hot head might do. - Sami is amused that Rafe is throwing accusations like an ass. Gabi quit so he should talk to her. Rafe doubts it. Sami does not like the fact he actually thought she would do something so lousy. Rafe sighs it would not be the first time. - Marlena and Will are having coffee at the pub. Caroline greets them and has overheard them talking about Chad. Will admits Chad seemed upset. Marlena thanks Caroline for helping with the kids. Caroline tells them she is there if they need anything and returns to the busy kitchen. Marlena and Will get back to their discussion about Nick. Will is utterly convinced he has reformed. Marlena wonders if this has something to do with him. Will teases she is being a shrink. Marlena deduces Will also wants people to back off from him and offers to do it. He insists that is not the case and admits he is just feeling confused. Coming out was not the only problem. He is not comfortable with the whole dating scene. Marlena assumes it is because found someone with whom he would like to spend all his time. He grins it is true and he cannot stop thinking about the guy! - Chad stares down Nick, who is not intimidated, and threatens him to stay away from Mel if he knows what is good for him! Nick stares right back at him. He claims he has changed but Chad growls that people do not change. Furthermore, they are done here! - Nicole’s appointment has just ended and her baby is confirmed as a boy. She promises her son she will get him the perfect daddy. - Dan explains to Kayla he did not say anything. Kayla now offers Jen the position of Director of Communications. Jen is overwhelmed. Dan advises her to decide what is right for her and excuses himself. Once he walks away, Jen sighs he did not like the idea. And she is not even sure what they are right now ... She complains to concerned Kayla that he keeps taking off and she fears he is mad at her. - Sami sarcastically recounts to Rafe that she hurt him by sleeping with EJ. She pours herself more coffee and insists she would not hurt Gabi, however. She now notices him texting his sister as he does not believe her. Rafe becomes quiet as Sami creeps over to read the reply, which confirms Sami did not fire her. Sami assumes they are done but Rafe disagrees. He admits he made an ass of himself. Sami understands he looks out for his sister and she appreciates that. She knows he would look out for her kids cos no matter what, they are still family. Rafe stares. - Back at the coffee house, Abigail updates Sonny on Mel’s reaction to the Nick news. Sonny notes Chad blew up and he does not know what he is capable of doing next. Abigail wonders if Sonny is busy tonight. He admits he has concert tickets but does not think the guy he wanted to ask would go with him. She can have them. Abigail is not sure and starts to cry. Sonny is concerned about her but not sure what to ask. She cries it is hard to talk and rushes out. Sonny still has the tickets in his hand. Abigail goes outside and texts Cam. She simply must see him! - Chad DiMera now returns to his place, where he finds frazzled Mel. She notes he looks serious. He assures her everything will be fine but she must promise him one thing. He gets own on his knee, gently takes her hand, and asks her to marry him. Mel is stunned. “What?” - Nick is wearing his street clothes and needs only to sign the papers for his release. His ride awaits. - Marlena presses Will to share how he messed up with the guy he cares for. He spies Gabi working at a table and mutters it is too late. The guy has moved onto a good looking and secure guy who is nothing like him. Marlena suggests he is being too critical on himself. She urges him to go for it. He laments it is hard. She reminds him he came out and giggles to just enjoy it. She encourages Will to let the guy know how he feels, He will not regret it! - A nasty hospital employee trash talks Jennifer. Dan approaches and dramatically defends her, He orders the employee to treat Jen with the respect she deserves. Nicole is standing nearby and glumly observes. - Sami stammers to Rafe she did not mean anything by the family thing. She meant the kids only. Rafe understands and proceeds to leave. Sami quips she understands too and knows he hates her. Rafe suddenly turns back and looks deeply into her eyes. "I could never hate you." Sami returns his gaze. Their faces appear to get closer and closer ... END |
